About the Creator
Hi, I'm Ahmed Samir Hafez, a 52-year-old from Egypt 🇪🇬. I work as a director and editor, but my true passion has always been technology.
I started using computers with Windows 3.11, then moved to Macintosh for a decade, and have been using Linux for over 30 years — currently on Arch Linux.
Sanoy was born from a dream: to build a friendly AI assistant that anyone could trust. I never imagined I could actually do it. I had no professional coding background, no powerful hardware — just an old i5 laptop with 4GB of RAM and a lot of determination.
The journey was filled with challenges — especially the encrypted backup system, which took weeks to perfect. But every bug fixed and every feature added brought Sanoy closer to what it is today.
Sanoy is proof that you don't need a big team or expensive equipment to create something meaningful. You just need an idea, persistence, and the willingness to learn.
